Under the leadership of Principal Wayne Marchand, the school opened in 1995 and welcomed 135 enthusiastic and eager Year 9 and 10 students. The school operated on the Glenvale campus while plans for a new, more modern building on Dixie Street were underway. Each year, the number of students, teachers, departments, and extracurricular activities increased. By 2001, under Principal Dave Dolan, planning and construction of the new Dixie Street campus were nearly complete. In September 2002, the new Dixie Street campus was finished. Over 800 students and 80 staff members moved into a new, modern, and spacious building, equipped to meet the challenges of teaching and learning in the digital age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eLike the growing community of Springdale, so has St. Marguerite d'Youville Catholic High School. With a student population of 2,100 and staff of 140, it is a vibrant and active school that continues to thrive.
