USCIS transferred some H-1B applications to the California Service Center.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS ) announced today that some H-1B applications and petitions regarding the 2023 H-1B fiscal year (FY) limit that are pending at the Vermont Service Center (VSC) are being transferred to the California Service Center (CSC) for data entry and processing.
USCIS is processing these cases due to delays in issuing H-1B petition receipts at VSC. Applicants should continue to file their petitions at the addresses provided on the Direct Filing Addresses page for Form I-129, Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker .
Transferring this workload will help USCIS issue receipt notices for properly filed H-1B applications more quickly. If your application is transferred, you will not receive a transfer notice, but you will receive a receipt notice as soon as your application is received. Requests will be completed at the CSC after the transfer. For inquiries about your application status, please use your application receipt number.
