Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots – Application Intake Status

The two pilots for Child Care and Home Support are pathways to permanent residence for eligible care workers. Meeting the requirements for language, education, experience/training, and a job offer does not automatically grant the right to apply while the intake is closed.

If you have a pending application

Have your application number, acknowledgement letter, and the latest IRCC requests ready for your representative to review. Distinguish between submitting supplementary documents for an existing application and filing a new one; do not submit duplicate applications simply because the service page remains visible.

If you are looking for a caregiver job

You need a separate assessment of your current work authorization and the appropriate Work Permit procedures. A job offer, Work Permit, and PR application are distinct processes. Do not view these old or new pilots as programs that open on a fixed cycle every March.
