NS PNP - (Worker) Skilled Worker

Overview

The Skilled Worker stream helps employers recruit foreign workers and recent international graduates with skills that Nova Scotia needs. Employers can only hire foreign workers for positions they cannot fill with permanent residents or Canadian citizens.

Notification

From 12 noon ADT on April 17, 2024, NSNP has a large backlog of applications for candidates in the Accommodation and Food Services sector awaiting decisions and has had to stop accepting applications in this sector while processing the current backlog.

Eligibility requirements for submitting an EOI.

To submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), you must:

• I have a full-time, permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer;
• One year of relevant work experience is required. (Workers in TEER 4 or 5 must have at least six months of experience with the same employer.)
• 21 to 55 years old;
• I have a high school diploma.
• Possesses appropriate training/skills and/or certification for the job;
• Demonstrate language proficiency equivalent to CLB 5 if you belong to TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. (If your native language is English or French, that is sufficient.)
  For TEER 4 or 5: a test result demonstrating CLB 4 achievement is required, even if the native language is English/French;
• Demonstrate that you have sufficient financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia.

• Complete the online application form and attach all required information/files.

• Submit an Expression of Interest
