Service fees and estimated budget

KeyApply service fee: 100 CAD for the standard package scope below, excluding applicable taxes.

The order price only includes the KeyApply service fee. Government fees are paid separately by the client based on actual costs. Shipping/courier fees are also paid separately by the client.

• Estimated government fees: 15–22 CAD per standard copy, depending on the type of death certificate or registration copy; rush processing may incur different fees.
• Total estimated service and government fees: 115–122 CAD for one standard copy, excluding taxes, shipping, and any additional charges mentioned separately.
• Reference shipping budget estimated by KeyApply: 15–35 CAD/trip within Canada; 50–100 CAD/trip internationally. This is not a carrier quote; actual rates depend on address, number of shipments, weight, and speed. Receiving digital copies or picking up at the office incurs no KeyApply shipping fees.

Clients may pay government fees directly when permitted by the agency, or pay separately for KeyApply to submit on their behalf as agreed. Any costs outside the package will be notified for client approval before execution. Estimates are subject to change based on document type and agency fee rates at the time of submission.

Information to prepare

• Full name of the deceased, date, and place of death.
• Information of the applicant and proof of eligibility to request, if required.

Notes

Certain types of copies have restricted eligibility for who may request them. This package does not include estate settlement, wills, or dispute resolution.

Clients must review and confirm information before submission. Processing time and outcomes are determined by the agency. KeyApply is a private support entity; clients may apply directly to the competent authority on their own.
