Québec Self-Employed Worker Program
A program for individuals wishing to immigrate to Québec and work in a self-employed capacity.
Current requirements include at least 2 years of self-employed experience within the 5 years prior to the application date; a minimum net worth of 100,000 CAD; required educational qualifications; and if the profession is regulated in Québec, you must hold or be in the process of obtaining the necessary recognition/authorization to practice.
The start-up deposit is 50,000 CAD if working within the Montréal Metropolitan Area and 25,000 CAD if outside this area.
As of 01/01/2026, the permanent selection application fee is 1,272 CAD for the principal applicant and 201 CAD for each accompanying spouse/dependent child.
