Overview:
The Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program for Skilled Workers in Need is for skilled workers who do not have a job offer but possess high-level skills in occupations that are in demand in the province. Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to become permanent residents of Canada and live in Saskatchewan.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Application fee : You must pay a non-refundable fee of 500 CAD .
- Place of residence : You live outside Canada or have legal status in Canada, and you are not an asylum seeker.
- Minimum score : You must achieve at least 60 points on the SINP's 110-point scale .
- Language proficiency : The minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score is 4. However, some employers may require a higher score.
- Educational qualifications : You must have completed post-secondary education equivalent to the Canadian system and possess a qualification relevant to your chosen field. If you have studied outside of Canada, you will need an Educational Assessment Certificate (ECA) from an IRCC-accepted organization.
- Work experience : You must have at least one year of full-time work experience within the last 10 years in a highly skilled occupation (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) that is relevant to your educational level.
- Professional certification : If your work requires licensing, you must demonstrate that you are qualified to practice in Saskatchewan.
- Settlement fund : You need to provide proof of a settlement fund and a comprehensive settlement plan to support yourself and your family.
Application Process:
To apply, you need to follow these steps:
- Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) : This is not a formal application but simply a form to express your intention to apply to SINP.
- Invitation to apply : Based on your EOI score, if you have a high score on your profile, you will receive an invitation to apply.
- Provide documentation : Upon receiving an invitation, you need to provide complete documentation to substantiate the scores and conditions stated in your EOI application.
Reasons for Ineligibility:
- You have not provided the required documentation.
- You cannot prove that your intention to live and work in Saskatchewan is genuine.
- You or your representative provided false information in the application.
Financial Proof Required:
From August 30, 2024, all program applicants must provide proof of settlement funds as per the new requirements of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The settlement funds must meet certain standards to ensure the applicant has the ability to support themselves and their family after settlement.

- Level of education and training
- Skilled work experience
- Language ability
- Age
- Connecting with Saskatchewan (labor market or family)
Candidates need to achieve a minimum of 60 points to be considered for nomination.
