Extending Study Permit and Student Visa

The following documents are required:

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

• Scan or take a picture directly like a scan.
• If there is a translation, the entire set must be scanned: the Vietnamese copy must be bound together with the translator's copy.
• If a translation is not yet available, please scan the original document in color for the translation company.

1. Passport valid for at least 6 months: scan all pages containing personal information, visas, and customs stamps from various countries.
2. Digital photo : taken within the last 6 months, can be taken with a phone against a white wall, no smiling, no glasses or hat.
3. Letter of Enrolment : issued by the school within the last 3 months.
4. Bank statement or document proving the current balance in a Canadian bank account, or a savings account passbook from parents in Vietnam.
5. Custodian form : a guardianship document signed by both parents and guardians. An old document can be used.
6. Consent form for young children to study abroad , if parents are divorced or separated.
7. Most recent report card (if renewing Student Visa)
8. Fill in the information on thedownloaded IMM5709 form .

COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Fee Is the price calculated in CAD or USD? Does the fee include all government costs?

The fee is in CAD and excludes tax. Tax will vary depending on your location and will be automatically calculated at check-out.

The fee does not include government fees, translation fees, and other government charges.

Government fees:

• Study Permit: $150
• Visa: $100
• Biometrics: $85 if the child is 14 years old or older and has not had a biometrics test.
• Restore Status if expired: $200

 What service is this fee used for ?

The service includes extending your Study Permit and accompanying Visa.

Is there a fee reduction if I only need a visa or study permit ?

The fee remains unchanged because the same set of documents is required for both types of applications.
