Resurrection Catholic Secondary School is not only a community committed to learning excellence but also one that helps cultivate the holistic formation of all individuals who will be living witnesses to their faith. It supports all students in their subject areas, not only by presenting knowledge and skills to be attained but also truths and values to be discovered. Its mission statement is "learning to meet the challenges of the future, growing our Catholic faith and building a better community".
Resurrection has become one of the most prestigious Catholic secondary schools in Ontario. It boasts academic excellence, artistic expression beyond measure, technical skill expertise, athletic supremacy, and most importantly its students and staff care for each other, their neighbours, and their fellow human beings. The art department offers experiences in vocals, band, and visual arts. Resurrection fields every team that the District offers and thanks to the efforts of its coaches and athletes are perennial powerhouses in most sports.
Most importantly, Resurrection is a proud Catholic high school that infuses the gospel values each and every day. Resurrection works alongside the student to help each one with their own faith journey and has a strong social justice and outreach program where it has developed partnerships within the region, province, and global community. The initiatives that Resurrection Catholic Secondary School continues to be involved with (including Toonies for Terry Fox, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Warm for Winter, Dominican Republic Encounter, Into the Cold, Weekly Missions, and the Lenten Campaign for Haiti) are all initiated by student leaders. Resurrection has built a strong tradition in the area of social justice and living the Gospel daily is the hallmark of who they are.
