Free training program for Medical Laboratory Technicians
The "Technology Bridge Program" retrains individuals who already hold overseas qualifications, are currently Canadian permanent residents (PR) or citizens , and wish to standardize their qualifications to quickly enter the Canadian labor market.
Today, KeyApply introduces you to a free Medical Laboratory Technician training program. The Medical Laboratory Professionals Association of Ontario (MLPAO) has received funding to train 50 Medical Laboratory Technicians from candidates who have received International Education Training (IEMLT).
What does that mean? If you know someone who has received international training in this field and wants to be trained to work in Canada, they may be eligible for a grant that covers the full cost of training . This initiative will help address the shortage of Medical Laboratory Technicians in Ontario.
One of the admission requirements for the bridging program is a valid Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) from CSMLS ( Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science ). Some applicants have expressed concerns about the high cost of the PLA assessment (ranging from $1540 to $1850). Rest assured, we have good news – Anderson College, a KeyApply training partner, will reimburse the PLA assessment fee after students graduate from their sponsored program at Anderson.
