Over the past few days, we have received numerous messages from the Vietnamese community in Canada and Vietnam expressing deep interest in the Strong Borders Act – Bill C-2, which was announced by the Canadian government a few days ago, on June 17, 2025.

💬 Questions and concerns submitted by the community include:

  1. Does the government have the right to revoke immigration documents (visa, work permit, study permit) that have already been issued?
  2. What steps will a person be required to take if they are deemed to be acting against the public interest of Canada when applying for a visa and immigration documents?
  3. Will international students be affected in any way if they switch to applying for asylum?
  4. Who can the government share my information with? Will my privacy be compromised?
  5. If my asylum application is rejected due to the new law, are there any other options?

🎯 To help the community understand the new law and protect their legal rights, KeyApply is pleased to invite Attorney Phan Thanh - a member of the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association, an Immigration Law Lecturer, and an expert with many years of experience in immigration law in Canada - to participate in an online seminar to answer questions submitted by our esteemed audience.

📅 Time: Sunday, June 29, 2025
🕤 Vietnam time: 9:30 PM. Toronto time: 10:30 AM
🌐 Format: Online webinar via Zoom (link will be sent after registration)

“We believe that a Vietnamese-Canadian lawyer with over 10 years of experience in Canada and Vietnam understands the living conditions, language barriers, and practical needs of the Vietnamese community better than anyone else.”
