When can fully vaccinated foreigners enter Canada?
Foreign nationals who have received all necessary COVID-19 vaccinations will be allowed to enter Canada. You can use this link to answer the questions to find out if you can enter Canada.
Exemptions for vaccinated individuals:
If you meet the full vaccination requirements, you will be exempt from the following:
- isolation
- Stay at the hotel (for all tourists)
- Request a COVID test on day 8. If you provide... essential services or already qualify for exemptions from quarantine and Day-8 testing, you don't need the fully vaccinated traveler exemption.
Traveling with children under 18, or with an adult dependent who is not fully vaccinated, but even if you are fully vaccinated you still:
- No hotel quarantine required.
- Must self-isolate for 14 days
- You must undergo the required tests (except for children under 5 years old).
Check if you meet the exemption requirements.
To qualify for a fully vaccinated exemption, you must:
- allowed to enter Canada
- no symptoms of COVID-19
- Receive all the required doses of the COVID-19 vaccines approved by Canada.
- Get your last injection at least 14 days before flying to Canada.
- Upload your vaccination proof to ArriveCAN
- meet all requirements for entry.
The following COVID-19 vaccines are approved by Canada:
- Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty, tozinameran, BNT162b2)
- Moderna (mRNA-1273)
- AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD (ChAdOx1-S, Vaxzevria, AZD1222)
- Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (Ad26.COV2.S)
From 30 November 2021, 03:01 AM EST, the following three vaccines, recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), will be accepted for travelers entering Canada:
- Sinopharm (Covilo)
- Sinovac (Coronavac)
- COVAXIN
- Bharat Biotech (Covaxin, BBV152 A, B, C)
- Cansino (Convidecia, Ad5-nCoV)
- Gamalaya (Sputnik V, Gam-Covid-Vac)
- Sinopharm (BBIBP-CorV, Sinopharm-Wuhan)
- Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc)
- Vector Institute (EpiVacCorona)
- Other
