Do I meet the requirements?
To qualify for this program, you must:
- Your profile is already in the Express Entry system.
- Your profile matches the Early Childhood Education occupation, formerly NOC 4214.
- You have marked your interest in Nova Scotia or
- "All provinces and territories" when completing their applications.
- Received Letter of Interest from Nova Scotia
IMPORTANT: The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development requires early childhood education teachers (ECEs) working with children in licensed childcare facilities to have
Level 1, 2, or 3 Classification . As part of your application for immigration to Nova Scotia, you will be required to register for an ECE classification. Registering for a classification is free. It is a two-step process:
- Assessment fee: Upon completing the application form, you will need to submit copies of the listed documents so the province can conduct a classification assessment to determine if you are eligible to work as an ECE in Nova Scotia.
- Assessment: If the pre-assessment determines that you are qualified to work as an ECE in Nova Scotia, the province will guide you through applying to the ECE Classification Service to determine your classification level and receive an approval letter . At this stage, you will be required to submit formal documentation.
