INVITATION TO ATTEND AN IN-DEPTH SHARING SESSION WITH PYCAP CEO STUART BROWNE AND LAWYER, DR. THANH PHAN
(For projects under the Canada Start-Up Visa program)
Dear Startup companies and agents,
The Start-Up Visa (SUV) program is an entrepreneur immigration program implemented by the Canadian Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) to attract international entrepreneurs with innovative capabilities and the potential to create jobs for Canadians. However, due to the increasing number of applications and the fact that many projects have not yet demonstrated feasibility and practical operation, IRCC is now tightening requirements and placing particular emphasis on the genuine connection between the start-up business and the Designated Organization (DO) that issued the Letter of Support (LOS).
Currently, IRCC is very interested in reports linking SUV projects and DOs. This is an important opportunity for projects to demonstrate substantial development and strong connections with the sponsoring organization.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Ontario Startup Studio (OSS) will host a special (hybrid) sharing session with two speakers:
Stuart Browne, CEO of PYCAP, and
Lawyer, Doctor Thanh Phan:
- Managing Partner of EliteLaw Law Firm
- Teaching the Immigration Counseling program at Queen's and Victoria Universities.
Purpose of the event:
Mr. Stuart Browne and Attorney Thanh Phan will provide the latest updates from IRCC on the Start-Up Visa (SUV) program; this is an opportunity for teams to meet directly with the two speakers to receive strategic advice and project development guidance; and to take commemorative photos with the speakers and the CEO of PYCAP. OSS will record the networking report to add to the project files – a factor currently highly valued by IRCC.
