JUDICIAL RECORD NO. 2 FOR CANADA VISA APPLICATION: WHAT TO PREPARE?

Are you in Canada and required to provide a police certificate from Vietnam? Before starting your application, please ensure you check the correct type of certificate needed.
IRCC guidelines for Vietnam specify the document as Judicial Record Card No. 2 (Phiếu lý lịch tư pháp số 2) — Judicial Certificate #2 or Criminal Record Certificate #2. You must refer to the checklist and request letter of your specific application to determine when it is required.
👥 WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?
Individuals who need a Vietnamese Judicial Record Card No. 2 to complete a Canadian application as requested by the receiving authority.
KeyApply’s current support packages are categorized based on locality, status of chip-based citizen identity cards, VNeID accounts, and the ability to receive SMS on a registered phone number. If you do not have a chip-based ID card or do not meet the package requirements, please check for eligibility before booking the service.
📋 INFORMATION TO PREPARE

This information is for initial assessment. Declaration forms, residency confirmation (CT07), or additional documents will be determined based on your case and the requirements of the processing authority.
🔎 STEP-BY-STEP SUPPORT PROCESS
1. VERIFY CANADIAN APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Identify the certificate type, submission deadline, and requirements regarding translations or document format. If you have a request letter, please send it immediately for verification.
2. CHECK ELIGIBILITY FOR SUPPORT
KeyApply reviews the relevant locality, identification documents, VNeID status, and SMS capability to determine the appropriate support approach.
3. COMPLETE INFORMATION AND DECLARATION
The client verifies personal information, completes authentication steps, and signs or submits the application according to the applicable guidelines.
If you need to notarize the declaration at the Embassy, please confirm the procedure before signing. Current guidelines require the applicant to sign before a consular officer; if you cannot attend in person, please contact us for specific instructions.
4. TRACKING AND SUPPLEMENTING
Keep your application code, track the status, and provide additional documents if requested by the processing authority. For applications submitted via VNeID, the Ministry of Public Security provides instructions to view application history and status under the “Issue Judicial Record Card” section.
5. CHECK RESULTS AND PREPARE DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMISSION
Verify your full name, date of birth, document number, and certificate type. Then, cross-reference the Canadian application requirements to prepare translations or arrange hard-copy delivery if necessary.
⚠️ THREE IMPORTANT NOTES
THE EMBASSY DOES NOT ISSUE JUDICIAL RECORD CARDS
According to the Embassy of Vietnam in Canada, the issuance of these certificates falls under the authority of competent agencies in Vietnam. The Embassy supports the notarization of declarations, signatures, and certified copies of identification documents.
ELECTRONIC COPIES MUST BE VERIFIED AGAINST RECEIVING REQUIREMENTS
The Ministry of Public Security states that regulations effective from July 1, 2026, recognize the legal validity of electronic certificates equivalent to paper certificates. However, when used for foreign applications, you must still check the document format required by the receiving institution; do not assume all entities accept the same format.
FEES AND TIMELINES MUST BE CONFIRMED PER APPLICATION
Please discuss the scope of service, translation, and shipping in advance. Completion time depends on the verification and processing by the competent authorities.
