Saint Paul University – Ontario, Canada
1. Overview
Saint Paul University in Ottawa offers fields in the humanities, theology, philosophy, and canon law. This institution should be distinguished from St. Thomas University in New Brunswick.
2. Programs and target students
The catalog includes Master's and doctoral degrees, featuring interdisciplinary options on contemporary social issues. Select programs and language of study according to the program page; do not assume all programs offer both levels.
3. Application, language, and program selection
Align degrees, transcripts, and foundational subjects with the chosen program. Prepare your CV, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and language proficiency certificates according to the checklist; research-based programs may require a proposal or a supervisor, while creative programs may require a portfolio. Check total scores, individual skill requirements, exemption conditions, and deadlines. Minimum scores do not guarantee admission.
4. International tuition fees – High
2026–2027 full-time international schedule: MA/Graduate Diploma 10,481.48 CAD/term; PhD 9,982.95 CAD/term. If three terms are required, the MA alone is 31,444.44 CAD in tuition before ancillary fees; confirm the program's summer registration requirements. Counselling also has separate ancillary fees. The "High" category refers to a three-term MA. UHIP insurance, student fees, and living expenses are separate; conditional incentives are available for studies in French.
5. Budget, scholarships, and preparation
Only exclude scholarships or funding that have been confirmed by the school from your budget. Separate tuition, mandatory fees, insurance, housing, food, books, and transportation. The tuition grouping serves as a preliminary comparison filter based on the article's examples and does not replace an official fee quote; do not convert per-course or per-term fees into total degree costs without knowing the number of terms. A price of 0 CAD on KeyApply indicates a request for consultation, not free tuition.
