This round of job openings further confirms the highly competitive trend among candidates with work experience in Canada.

Which profile could potentially score around 531 points?
A CRS score of 531 reflects a strong, balanced, and well-structured profile. Below is an example illustrating a candidate who could potentially reach this score, if all factors are at their optimal level:
1. Priority age group (20-29 years old): This age group receives the maximum number of points in the CRS system.
2. Work experience in Canada - 3 years (TEER 0-3)
- TEER 0: Management
- TEER 1: Professional occupations requiring a college degree
- TEER 2: Technical/Supervisory Work
- TEER 3: Technical jobs requiring specific training
3. Work experience in Vietnam - 3 years (TEER 0-3): Overseas experience with the correct TEER helps increase points in the Skill Transferability section, especially when combined with:
- IELTS Club 9+
- 1-3 years of experience in Canada.
4. IELTS 7.0+ (minimum CLB 9): This is the threshold at which a significant leap in CRS score can begin.
5. Study a minimum of two years in Canada: A Canadian degree continues to be a significant advantage as it increases your human capital points and combined points.
⚠️ Note: CRS is a composite scoring system. The above factors do not guarantee a score of 531, but if candidates achieve high scores in all of these groups, they have a chance of reaching a score of 530-550 depending on the details of their profile .
What should Express Entry candidates do now?
To increase their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in subsequent rounds, candidates should:
- Maintain employment within the TEER range of 0-3. IRCC only considers TEER-appropriate experience when assessing CRS & CEC eligibility.
- Maintain good connections with all your previous employers. When receiving your ITA, you are required to provide an Employment Reference Letter for all the experience you declare in your application, including:
- company in Canada
- companies in Vietnam
- any experience you use to calculate the score
- If you lose contact with your old company, or your relationship with your old company is not good, you may be at a significant risk when applying for PR.
