On November 14, 2025, the Canadian Minister of Citizenship and Immigration issued Ministerial Directive 379 concerning the issuance of Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residency (ITAs) within the Express Entry system. This is the second round of invitations under the Healthcare and Social Services sector.
In 2025, Canada will continue to open Express Entry invitation rounds specifically for Healthcare and Social Services occupations (Version 2) to address the severe labor shortage in the healthcare and community care system.
