Overview
International Graduates in Demand is for recent international graduates with skills and education that match specific NOC occupation groups. The program is currently open for the following occupation groups:
- NOC 32102: Paramedical occupations
- NOC 32124: Pharmacy technicians
- NOC 33102: nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates
- NOC 42202: early childhood educators and assistants
Eligibility requirements for submitting an EOI.
To submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), you must:
- There is a permanent, full-time job offer from a Nova Scotia employer in one of the job categories listed above that matches your recent field of study;
- 19 to 55 years old;
- I have a high school diploma;
- Meet the requirement of completing a program of study at a qualifying Nova Scotia designated learning institution within three years of the application date. The program of study must:
- at least 30 weeks, or 24 weeks for NOC 33102 (Nurse Aids and Continuing Care Assistants);
- You must complete at least 50% of your program in Nova Scotia.
- Qualification requirements vary by NOC:
- If applying under NOC 32102 or 32124: the program must award a diploma.
- If applying under NOC 33102: the program must award a certificate, diploma, or degree.
- If applying under NOC 42202: the program must award a diploma or degree.
- Possess the certification/license required by the NS regulatory bodies for the job;
- Demonstrate language proficiency equivalent to CLB 5;
- Demonstrate that you have sufficient financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia.
