BC PNP Immigration Programs
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program in Canada offers three pathways to permanent residency. Each pathway depends on the individual, their occupation, skills, education, and other factors.
Skills Immigration
Skilled worker immigration for skilled and semi-skilled workers in high-demand occupations in BC Province uses a points-based invitation system. This process includes online registration and application for BC PNP and a paper-based application for permanent residency.
You may not need prior work experience for some positions.
- Highly skilled workers may have work experience from overseas.
- Candidates with low-level and semi-skilled experience will need work experience at BC.
- International students who have recently graduated from a Canadian university or college may not need any work experience, depending on the job offered.
Express Entry BC
Express Entry BC is a faster way for eligible skilled workers to immigrate to BC You must also qualify for a federal economic immigration program. It uses a points-based invitation system, and is an entirely web-based registration and application process for both the BC PNP and permanent residency process.
You do not require BC work experience. However, you must have relevant work experience as well as meet other requirements such as education and language.
Express Entry BC is a faster way for qualified skilled workers to immigrate to BC. You must also qualify for a federal economic immigration program. The province uses a points-based invitation system.

Entrepreneur Immigration
The Entrepreneur Immigration program is for experienced entrepreneurs who want to proactively manage a business in BC. It is a points-based invitation system. Applicants must have the necessary investment capital and personal experience.
The Entrepreneur Immigration Program - Pilot Area is for entrepreneurs who want to start a new business in participating regional communities across BC.
The province also selects companies wishing to expand to BC and key business employees who need to settle in BC.
