Objective: The Rural Renewal Stream program, part of the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (AAIP), aims to attract applicants with full-time jobs in designated rural Alberta communities. Applicants need a letter of certification from their community to be eligible to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Residency Requirements :
- Applicants must have the intention and ability to live and work in the designated community in Alberta at the time of application and throughout the AAIP assessment process.
2. Letter of Confirmation from the Community :
- The community must issue an Endorsement of Candidate letter from the rural community's Economic Development Organization (EDO). This letter must contain the following information:
- Name and address of EDO
- Candidate's name and address
- Details of a valid job application :
- Company name, position, and job description
- Work location, contract conditions and duration.
- The contribution of a job position to the economic development of the community.
3. Job Requirements :
- Applicants must have a full-time job offer from an employer in Alberta, in a valid occupation within the designated community.
- The work must meet the relevant licensing, registration, or certification requirements .
4. Work Experience Requirements :
- Temporary foreign workers must have a minimum of 12 months of full-time work experience in a eligible occupation within the 18 months prior to applying.
- EMPP applicants must have a minimum of 12 months of full-time work experience within the 10 years prior to applying.
5. Language Requirements :
- Applicants must achieve a minimum CLB 5 level for English skills or NCLC 5 level for French skills for NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3 occupations.
- For NOC TEER 4 and 5 professions, the minimum requirement is CLB 4 .
6. Educational Requirements :
- Applicants must have completed at least a high school program equivalent to Canadian standards or possess an equivalent qualification from abroad.
- Educational Qualification Assessment (ECA) is mandatory for applicants who are temporary foreign workers.
7. Financial Requirements (Applicable only to temporary foreign workers):
- Applicants must demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to support themselves and their family when they arrive in Alberta.

Ineligible Cases:
Candidates are ineligible if:
- I have received a valid and unexpired nomination from another AAIP program.
- There is a deportation order from IRCC or CBSA.
- I am an international student studying in Canada.
