Overview
The Occupations in Demand stream targets certain TEER 3, 4, or 5 occupations that are in high demand in Nova Scotia. The Labour, Skills and Immigration agency determines occupations as “in demand” based on labour market information, and the list of eligible occupations is subject to change.
Notification
From 12 noon ADT on April 17, 2024, NSNP has a large backlog of applicants for the Accommodation and Food Services sector and will stop accepting applications for this sector while processing the backlog.
Eligibility requirements for submitting an EOI.
You must:
- I have a full-time permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer in one of the NOCs:
- NOC 33102 (Nurse Aides)
- NOC 65310 (Light duty cleaners)
- NOC 73300 (Transport truck drivers)
- NOC 73400 (Heavy equipment operators)
- NOC 75110 (Construction trades helpers and laborers)
- I have one year of relevant experience.
- 21 to 55 years old;
- I have a high school diploma;
- Possesses appropriate training/skills and/or certification;
- Prove your language skills at CLB 4 level, even if your native language is English/French;
- I have sufficient funds to settle down.
How to submit an EOI
- Complete the online application and attach all necessary information/files.
- Submit an Expression of Interest Online
