Introducing CPA Certification Services for Assessing the Authenticity of LMIAs
To demonstrate commitment to business operations and the ability to fulfill the terms of a Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) employment offer, employers may choose to submit a certificate from a lawyer, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or an official (account manager, branch manager, or higher, authorized signatory) from a federally or provincially regulated financial institution.
The certificate should include the following information:
- An official envelope/letter from the law firm or financial institution, or, if applicable, from the accounting firm.
- Date and signature of a suitably qualified individual (lawyer or CPA) or authorized signatory (official within the financial institution).
- Contact information of the signatory, such as phone number, email address, position, professional certifications (if any), membership number (if any).
- A clear and specific testimony that the business is operating legally and providing goods or services in Canada, and/or whether the business has the financial capacity to meet the requirements of the TFW Program.
