D.W. Poppy Secondary School is located in Langley, B.C., Canada. The school prides itself on being culturally diverse and multi-talented. Poppy has a renowned reputation for their musical efforts and sports teams. The mission of D.W. Poppy Secondary School is to serve the community by developing students’ intellectual abilities, their work ethic, and their competence. It strives to teach students how to become good citizens, respect and celebrate differences in people around the world, recognize learning as a life-long process, be confident and enthusiastic about their future, and believe that they can succeed.

D.W. Poppy has hosted students from many different countries, including Mexico, Spain, Italy, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, and the People’s Republic of China.  Academically, these students have been very successful with many graduates moving on to universities and colleges throughout Canada and the United States.  In addition, these students had the opportunity to make Canadian friends through the International Club which is led by domestic student mentors and senior international student leaders. Many of the international students also participated in the travel opportunities the District provides so that they can experience more of what British Columbia has to offer.

Poppy has a cafeteria, networked library, 3 computer labs and 4 science labs, 2 full size gyms, weight training room, band room, acoustic music rooms, theatre facility, photo lab, art room, 2 home economics room, woodwork room, metalwork room, student government room and post-secondary and career preparation lab.
• Extracurricular activities: D.W. Poppy encourages students to become involved outside the classroom. For athletics, there's cross country running, volleyball, soccer, swimming, curling, basketball, track and field, badminton, hockey, golf, and rugby. Some of the clubs offered at Poppy include equestrian club, grad council, leadership, math challenge, drumming, and robotics.
