How long can you stay?
Most tourists can stay in Canada for a maximum of 6 months.
At the immigration gate, border service officers may allow you to stay for less or more than six months. If so, they will mark the date you need to leave in your passport. They may also give you a document, called a traveler's record, which will show the date you need to leave.
If you do not receive a stamp in your passport, you may remain in Canada for up to six months from the date of your entry into Canada or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. If you need a stamp, you can request one from a border service officer. If you arrive at the airport using a preliminary screening kiosk, ask a border service officer after you have completed the screening at the kiosk.
