Overview:
The Saskatchewan Express Entry program is for skilled workers who want to live and work in Saskatchewan and already have a profile in the Express Entry system of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
- Application fee : From September 1, 2024, the application fee for this program will be 500 CAD .
- Financial requirements : Starting August 30, 2024, applicants must meet the settlement fund requirements as stipulated by IRCC's new regulations.
Eligibility Requirements:
To apply for the Saskatchewan Express Entry program, you need to:
- Accepted into IRCC's Express Entry system and possessing a valid Express Entry Profile number and Job Seeking Code .
- Achieve at least 60 points on the SINP rating scale.
- I have a language test result that meets the requirements of Express Entry.
- Complete at least one year of post-secondary education and hold a degree, certificate, or diploma related to your chosen field.
- If you are studying outside of Canada, you need to submit an Educational Assessment Certificate (ECA) from an IRCC-approved organization.
- Those who have completed vocational training at the secondary school level must apply for a vocational license in Saskatchewan.
- Having work experience in occupations not included in the list of excluded occupations .
- For professional workers: At least 1 year of work experience within the last 10 years .
- For skilled workers in the following occupations: At least 2 years of experience in the last 5 years .
- For the Canada Experience Program : At least one year of work experience in Canada within the last three years .
- Work experience must be relevant to your field of study.
- Provide evidence of settlement funds and settlement plan.
How to Apply:
- Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) : This is the first step in expressing your intention to apply to SINP.
- Receive an invitation to apply : Based on your score, you may be invited to apply formally.
- Provide documentation : When invited to apply, you will need to provide documents to substantiate the scores you have declared.
Reasons for Ineligibility:
- You have not provided all the required documentation.
- You have not demonstrated a genuine intention to live and work in Saskatchewan.
- You or your representative provided false information in the application.
Expression of Interest (EOI):
An Expression of Interest (EOI) is not a formal application to SINP, but rather a form expressing your aspirations and providing information about your qualifications. Your score in the EOI will determine your likelihood of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Candidates with high scores in the EOI pool will have a greater chance of receiving an invitation.
