We have an Administrative Assistant (NOC 13110) position in a construction company that is not in the restricted category.

1️⃣ INTRODUCTION

We would like to share details of a very practical program for those who are legally working in Saskatchewan with a valid Work Permit - the Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit program.

This is a program under the Saskatchewan Experience group, designed for skilled workers currently employed in the province who wish to apply for provincial nomination, which will then lead to a permanent residency (PR) application.

2️⃣ PROGRAM OVERVIEW

As of October 8, 2025, the province of Saskatchewan has announced that the 25% cap for the accommodation & food services, retail, and transportation sectors has been reached for 2025.

This means these departments are temporarily suspending the acceptance of new applications until further notice.

However, the Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit program remains open as usual for other occupations.

We have an Administrative Assistant (NOC 13110) position in a construction company that is not in the restricted category.

3️⃣ KEY CONDITIONS (Eligibility)

You may be eligible to apply if:

  1. Must have worked in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months (minimum 780 hours) with a valid work permit.
  2. I have a permanent, full-time job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan.
  3. Possess a valid work permit issued by IRCC, specifically:
    - CUAET Work Permit, or
    - LMIA-supported Work Permit, or
    - Mobilité Francophone Work Permit
    👉 Applications can be submitted for occupations in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
    - If you have a different type of Work Permit (not one of the three above), you can only apply for TEER 0, 1, 2, 3 occupations or designated trades.
    - Individuals with an Open Spouse Work Permit are not eligible to apply under this category.
    - Truck Driver (NOC 73300) must have a CUAET / LMIA / Mobilité Francophone Work Permit.
    - Food & Beverage Server (NOC 65200) has similar requirements.

    - Must have at least 6 consecutive months of work experience (780 hours, full-time) at the company providing the Job Approval Letter.
    - If your job is in TEER 4 or 5, you need a minimum language score of CLB 4.
(If the occupation requires a license or certification, you must be eligible to obtain it in Saskatchewan. Asylum seekers in Canada are not eligible.)

⚠️ Please note: Program criteria may change at any time. The number of nominations per year is determined by the federal government, so no application is guaranteed acceptance.
