The NOC 2021 is effective from today.
Starting today, IRCC will implement the new NOC 2021 system, the occupational classification system within the Canadian immigration system.
This system will affect LMIA and employer-specific work permits, as well as permanent residency applications such as Express Entry and the Provincial Nominee Program.
BELOW ARE THE SPECIFIC DETAILS FOR THE NEW NOC CODES:
Instead of the previous 5 categories, the new system will have 6 TEER categories.
Occupations at TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3 will be considered highly skilled. Occupations at TEER 4 and 5 will be considered low-skilled.
