Increased application fees for Canadian permanent residency, effective April 30, 2022.
On April 30, 2022, the Canadian Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) will increase fees for all permanent residency applications. This includes economic immigration programs, permit applications, family sponsorship, and humanitarian applications.
In 2020, IRCC increased its permanent residency fee to account for inflation for the first time since 2002. At the time, it was announced that the fee would increase every two years to adjust for inflation.
The difference between the current and new permanent residency fees:
