A75 – Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP)
A bridging open work permit for the principal applicant of certain economic PR programs currently under assessment.
Target Audience and Key Requirements
- Residing in Canada with valid work authorization, maintained status, or eligibility for restoration.
- PR application belongs to an eligible program and has reached the required processing stage.
- PNP requires checking for employer restrictions; spouses cannot apply for a BOWP as a principal applicant.
Documents to Prepare
AOR/eligibility letter, evidence of PR application stage, work permit, residency status, and nomination if applicable.
Important Notes
Creating an Express Entry profile or receiving an ITA is insufficient to qualify for a BOWP.
