Anglophone School District – East (ASD-E) – Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

ASD-E is the English-language public school district serving Moncton and surrounding communities in Southeastern New Brunswick. The district operates a system of schools from elementary to high school, following the provincial curriculum.

1. Type and Area

English-language public school system. School placement is based on residential address, grade level, capacity, and district regulations. On-campus boarding is not standard.

2. Academic Programs

Students follow the New Brunswick curriculum with core subjects, electives, and extracurricular activities varying by school. Students meeting graduation requirements are eligible for a provincial high school diploma. English as an Additional Language (EAL) support and integration services must be verified on a school-by-school basis.

3. International Enrollment Eligibility

Students accompanying a parent who has the right to work or study in New Brunswick may be considered for public school enrollment based on residency status and provincial regulations. Children holding only a visitor record are not automatically eligible for tuition-free education. For international students paying full tuition, KeyApply must verify eligibility with the Student Welcome Centre prior to registration.

4. Tuition and Fees

The 2026–2027 international tuition fee schedule is not yet verified. There is no guarantee of fees, school placement, or tuition waivers before confirmation by the district. Families should budget for additional costs including insurance, accommodation, meals, transportation, and guardianship fees where applicable.

5. Application and Enrollment Steps

Requirements typically include a passport, academic transcripts, birth certificate, documentation of parental and student residency status, proof of residence in New Brunswick, and required forms. ASD-E operates a Student Welcome Centre to assist with registration and eligibility verification; some enrollment steps must be completed once the student is physically in the province. The process for obtaining a Letter of Acceptance (LOA), if required for a study permit, must be verified separately.

6. Accommodation and Guardianship

Minor students require appropriate housing and guardianship arrangements. ASD-E does not provide direct boarding or homestay; if a student is arriving in Canada without parents, independent reception programs and housing arrangements must be considered.

7. KeyApply Enrollment Support

KeyApply assists with assessing family circumstances, verifying enrollment eligibility, selecting appropriate grade levels and schools, preparing transcripts and documentation, coordinating with the Student Welcome Centre, and tracking applications. If legal representation for immigration matters is required, an authorized RCIC or lawyer will be responsible.

8. Official Information

Information is cross-referenced with the ASD-E Newcomer FAQ and Student Welcome Centre guidelines. Enrollment policies and fees are subject to change; please contact KeyApply for verification prior to submitting an application.
