Immigration-related arrest warrants in Canada
Under Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, in certain cases, officers may issue an arrest and detention warrant for a permanent resident or foreign national if statutory grounds are met.
If you know or suspect there is an arrest warrant
- Do not ignore or deliberately avoid the CBSA;
- Collect all documents from the CBSA, IRCC, IRB, and the Court;
- Check the status of any removal order and any active proceedings;
- Contact a lawyer or authorized representative to assess your rights and options.
