Reporting to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)
The CBSA may require an individual to report at a specific date, time, and location to monitor immigration status, compliance with conditions, or matters related to immigration enforcement.
When receiving a reporting request
- Carefully read the date, time, location, and documents to bring;
- Do not miss your reporting appointment;
- Keep copies of all documents provided by the CBSA;
- If you have a removal order or other legal proceedings, it is advisable to have these assessed prior to the appointment.
If you fail to report
Failure to appear as requested can lead to serious consequences. Depending on the circumstances, the CBSA may take enforcement actions under the law.
