R01 – Manitoba Workforce Transition Bridge
A specific transitional OWP policy for certain Manitoba candidates has been supported for 2024–2025.
Eligibility and Main Conditions
- Possess a Manitoba letter issued no later than December 31, 2025, confirming screening and entry into the EOI pool before this deadline.
- Currently working in Manitoba and holding an employment letter.
- Hold a valid permit, or fall under the expired/maintained status branch as of May 7, 2024; meet restoration/status requirements and be in Canada at the time of the decision.
Documents to Prepare
Original support letter, Manitoba employment letter, work permit/status, and EOI documents.
Key Notes
Policy effective July 6, 2026, expiring December 31, 2027. Does not reopen the old stream for Alberta/Yukon. Use identifier code MBEOI2024; a letter continuing support in 2026 does not replace the original letter before the deadline.
LMIA exemption still requires meeting work permit issuance conditions. Work permits and permanent residency applications are processed separately.
