1. School Introduction

Humber Polytechnic is a public post-secondary educational institution in Ontario, Canada. The school offers programs for international students and is listed on the IRCC's Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) list. A suitable approach is to start with your field of study and credential type, then cross-reference entry requirements, campus, duration, and budget.

2. Location and Learning Environment

Location: Toronto, including North and Lakeshore campuses. As the school has multiple locations, not every program is available at all campuses. Before renting accommodation or booking tickets, verify your study location and the mode of delivery (in-person, hybrid, or online) on your Letter of Acceptance and the program page. Create a separate budget for housing, food, transportation, insurance, and costs for family members if they are accompanying you.

3. Academic Programs

Fields of study to explore in the school's catalog include business, technology, design and media, health, community services, tourism, and hospitality. Program types include certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, bachelor's degrees, and graduate certificates. The school's general catalog and the list currently open to international students may differ; you must select a program that is accepting applications for your intended intake.

Certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, graduate certificates, and bachelor's degrees have different levels and requirements. A graduate certificate is not a master's degree. If you wish to transfer to a university, check credit transfer agreements, grade requirements, and the number of credits actually recognized. For co-op, practicum, or placement, determine whether it is mandatory or elective, the requirements for participation, and the necessary documentation.

4. Admission Requirements and Application

The school evaluates applications based on individual program requirements and the educational equivalency of the country where you studied. Applicants should cross-reference their diplomas, transcripts, and prerequisite subjects (such as English, math, or science) with the specific requirements on the program page. Post-graduate programs may require a relevant college/university degree; art programs may require a portfolio, audition, or interview; and programs with clinical or field placements may require additional documentation.

Prepare your passport, degrees, transcripts, required translations, and school-accepted language certificates. Check the total score, individual band requirements, and validity period of the certificate for your level of study; a generic IELTS score does not apply to all programs. English/EAP pathways and conditions for language certificate waivers must be confirmed separately. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission if a program is competitive or has reached capacity.

5. International Tuition and Budgeting

The Business Management page lists the 2026–27 international tuition for two semesters as 18,588.88 CAD. Global Business Management has a fee of 20,091.86 CAD for two semesters; since the program lasts four semesters, this is not the total program cost. The school labels these as "fees," which are subject to change; refer to the Tuition Fee Schedule to break down individual costs and confirm the correct intake. Official fee source.

Separate tuition fees from ancillary/student fees, insurance, books, equipment, uniforms, lab fees, placement fees, and living expenses. When the table lists prices per term or credit, you must calculate the total based on the actual number of terms/credits in your study plan. Deposits are typically applied to your tuition account; read the refund policy and deadlines before making any payments. Tuition tags on KeyApply, when available, are only for relative comparison between schools, similar to how Master's & PhD groups are categorized; they do not replace official program fee quotes.

6. Scholarships and Financial Aid

Scholarships and awards have specific conditions regarding programs, academic year, academic performance, documentation, and international student status. Check if each award is open to international students or restricted to citizens/permanent residents, and review submission deadlines and renewal requirements. Do not consider a scholarship as guaranteed until you have received written confirmation from the school.

7. Intakes and Enrollment Status

Start dates and application deadlines are published by program, not as a general schedule for all disciplines. When choosing a Fall, Winter, or Spring/Summer intake, verify that the program is available for that term, the campus location, document submission deadlines, and the deposit due date. Statuses such as open, waitlist, closed, or suspended can change; KeyApply will re-verify these before assisting with your application.

8. DLI, Study Permit, and PGWP

DLI Number: O19376943122. You must use the DLI number and campus location that matches your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) when preparing your application. Being a public institution with a DLI number does not mean every program is eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Before enrolling, verify if the program is PGWP-eligible, the CIP code, applicable field of study requirements, credential type, mode of study, and your academic history. Per current IRCC guidelines, college/polytechnic programs that do not grant a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree generally require a CLB/NCLC 5 language proficiency across all four skills; field of study requirements apply if the study permit application was submitted on or after November 1, 2024, subject to IRCC conditions and exemptions. Bachelor's degree programs have separate regulations.

Students must also meet personal requirements such as program duration, full-time student status, PGWP application deadlines, and online study regulations. English-only programs and programs delivered by private institutions under licensing agreements have different rules. The LOA, PAL/TAL (if required), and study permit are distinct steps; the school does not grant permits. Studying at the institution does not guarantee the issuance of a PGWP, a 3-year permit, employment, or permanent residency.

9. Application Process with KeyApply

  1. Submit your degrees, transcripts, language certificates (if any), desired program, preferred intake, and budget.
  2. Compare programs currently accepting international students, entry requirements, campuses, fees, and PGWP eligibility based on your profile.
  3. Prepare documents according to the checklist, including translations and supplementary materials; submit via the official admissions channel as instructed by the school.
  4. Read offer conditions, complete any missing requirements, and pay the deposit by the school's deadline.
  5. Receive your LOA, complete the PAL/TAL process if applicable, and prepare your study permit application. Immigration consulting is handled by an RCIC or lawyer.
  6. Review invoices, register for classes, arrange housing, insurance, and attend orientation before starting your studies.
