CPAFTA – Work Permit for Professionals under the Canada-Panama Agreement
LMIA-exempt category under the agreement between Canada and Panama.
Key Applicants and Requirements
- Verify citizenship/eligibility recognized by the agreement before filing.
- F42 is for professionals meeting the occupation list and educational requirements of the agreement.
- Meet specific requirements regarding profession, qualifications, contracts, trade/investment, or corporate affiliation.
Required Documents
Passport, job offer, contract, CV, qualifications/licenses, and supporting business evidence based on the specific stream.
Important Notes
Residing in or holding a visa for Panama does not automatically grant eligibility. Work permits and permanent residency (PR) are assessed based on separate criteria.
