Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative

A temporary BC PNP initiative to retain up to 250 cleaning or security staff working for a health authority in rural/remote areas.

Registration deadline: 23:59 on October 7, 2026, BC (Pacific) time. This is the registration deadline for the system, not a general deadline for all BC PNP applications.

Key Eligibility

• Occupation: NOC 64410, 65310, or 65312.
• Must be a direct employee of a health authority; contract staff are not eligible.
• Working full-time, indefinitely at an eligible rural/remote location.
• At least 9 months of continuous eligible employment immediately preceding registration with the same health authority; must maintain occupation, location, and employer during processing.
• High school diploma; meet income, language, and general requirements.
• Employer must agree to support the application and sign the Employer Declaration Form.
• No Express Entry BC option.

Not applicable in Metro Vancouver, Central Okanagan, and most of the Capital Regional District; some islands within the Capital District are exempt. Please verify your location, the calculation of the 9 months, and all requirements in the official program guide.

Process Overview

Confirm support from HR → verify eligibility → register before the deadline → wait for an invitation → submit BC PNP application → if nominated, apply for PR to IRCC. Registration does not guarantee an invitation or PR.
